Scope of Work:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide records management and oversight of the USAFA Environmental Compliance program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to program staff with office management responsibilities to include correspondence, budgeting, record keeping, calendar management, and suspense management.
- Maintain environmental records in accordance with government- approved file plans.
- Conduct quarterly record audits of all environmental records repositories (i.e., eDASH, APIMS, T-EMP, etc.) to ensure accuracy and compliance. Correct discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare, provide, and maintain all mandatory/required reports and records to internal and external customers in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
- Participate in environmental meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- The Administrative Assistant/Records Coordinator may be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts, graphs and power point presentation materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in environmental science, environmental management, chemistry, biology, or equivalent science degree from an accredited university is preferred.
- Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
- Strong skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
- Must be able to work independently and interact well with others in a team setting.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
- Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
- Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
- Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.

- Performs all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives.

- Accurately maintains and updates records to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information.
- Follows up on suspense items to ensure timely completion.

- Complete all training within required timeline.
- Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
Training:
- All conferences, workshops and seminars as deemed necessary by the supervisor or the position. Completes all safety, environmental management system, anti-terrorism, fire extinguisher, asbestos awareness, and any other local, state, federal, installation required, and any other training deemed necessary by the supervisor or position.
