The pay listed above is encompassing of a total range, final compensation offered will be dependent upon several factors to include but not limited to years of experience and education within the position and industry.

Scope of Work:

Responsible for the routine and emergency maintenance of the fire alarm systems and peripheral equipment, components, and subsystems in direct support of the project site.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the routine inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of fire alarm systems, fire detection, fire suppression, and building mass notification systems IAW the latest edition NFPA codes, technical manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of wet pipe and dry pipe sprinkler systems and Testing of Water-Based Systems.
  • Pre-Action, Deluge, Foam and Antifreeze Systems certification in Inspection and Testing of Water Based Systems.
  • Engaged in the supervision, mentorship, and guidance of the team.
  • Provide effective management and directorship necessary to accomplish facilities maintenance actions directly supporting the project site.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans, policies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Coordinates and directs the facilities department in accomplishing all required work in accordance with Performance Work Statements (PWS) and pertinent regulations.
  • Ensures work is being performed in compliance with the contract.
  • Develop and submit weekly/monthly/annual/etc. reports.
  • Coordinates and recommends subcontracting for specific projects.
  • Keeps leadership informed on maintenance and repair actions, making recommendations for efficiency.
  • Contributes to high-level management status and planning meetings.
  • Anticipates and promptly resolves operational problems.
  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities over a team.
  • Ensures adherence to legal and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide necessary training to staff and maintains necessary reports and training records as required.
  • Sets goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company and customers plans, mission, and vision.
  • Ensure all maintenance equipment/tools are properly functioning and maintained.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess and maintain Fire Alarm Systems NICET III or higher.
  • Must possess a certification in Special Hazard Systems.
  • Certification by ICC/NAFED in Pre-Engineered Kitchen Fire Extinguishing Systems
  • Preferred National Fire Protection Association Certification in the following (NFPA 13, 25, 72).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with fire alarms systems.
  • Knowledge of national and local fire codes.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience familiarity in facilities management activities, obtaining a strong knowledge of working with subcontract, vendors, and associated agreements.
  • Specialized experience working with a federal government agency or US military installation is preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of work management systems/software/programs (e.g., MAXIMO).
  • Must possess a knowledge of codes and standards applicable to maintenance services associated with the contract.
  • Must possess the ability to identify and resolve issues, establish priorities, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
  • Possess strong computer skills to complete data entry into work management system (e.g., Maximo).
  • Must be capable of obtaining, and shall be responsible to use, a government-issued common access card (CAC).
  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
  • Effective verbal and written communication (English) and must be able to read and understand the signs, signals, and operating instructions.
  • Must be well organized with extremely good time management skills.
  • Must possess analytical abilities necessary to manage complex administrative, organizational, and contract matters.
  • Must be able to work independently and interact well with others in a team setting.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
  • All Contractor personnel shall be physically and medically qualified for performing the duties to which they are assigned to include lifting objects weighing 60 pounds.
  • Work may be performed in an outdoor setting with exposure all sorts of inclement weather.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer to include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
