Scope of Work:
The Project Manager’s primary purpose is to manage all contract matters relating to the daily operation of the grounds maintenance contract.
Responsibilities:
- Promptly negotiates and implements Operations Work Orders.
- Provides cradle to grave oversight, direction, and management of the contract.
- Develops program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.
- Oversees all financial activities, including managing project profitability and loss control to ensure maximum productivity.
- Works closely with technical personnel to properly understand customer requirements and successfully initiate/complete projects.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities in achieving and supporting the contract.
- Sets goals for performance and deadlines that comply with the company and the customers’ plans, mission, and vision.
- Ensures contract performance adhering to company and government processes, regulations, and statutes promoting quality control, innovation, and safety adherence.
- Conducts program status reviews, internal staff meetings, business development, customer engagement, and other business functions.
- Able to create a positive working environment characterized by teamwork and innovation.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in base grounds maintenance support management or a contract similar in scope, or over 10 years of experience in base grounds support management.
- Incumbent must have a background in governmental services and understand contract operations and functions, emphasizing US Governmental operations and maintenance type contracts.
- Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety, and Industry Standards are preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
- Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.
- Working knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) is required.
- The ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and resolve issues is critical to this position’s success.
- Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of assigned tasks.
- Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
- Must be able to perform on-call duties as required.
- Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer’s mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Understands and is knowledgeable of all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
