Scope of Work: The Fire Supervisor is responsible for the routine and emergency maintenance of fire alarm systems and all related equipment, components, and subsystems in direct support of the project site.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the routine inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of fire alarm, fire detection, fire suppression, and building mass notification systems in accordance with the latest NFPA codes, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, deluge, foam, and antifreeze sprinkler systems in accordance with Water-Based Systems Testing requirements.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to the maintenance team.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, policies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Direct and coordinate facilities maintenance operations in accordance with Performance Work Statements (PWS), company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with contractual, company, and safety standards.
  • Prepare and submit required reports, including weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance summaries.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities and recommend subcontracting for specialized projects as needed.
  • Keep leadership informed of maintenance activities and make recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Participate in management and planning meetings, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational or maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Oversee personnel management functions including performance reviews, training, and adherence to company policies.
  • Provide required training to staff and maintain accurate records of certifications and training activities.
  • Establish performance goals and deadlines that align with company and customer objectives.
  • Ensure all maintenance tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures and regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Required Certifications
    • NICET III or NICET IV in Fire Alarm Systems.
    • Special Hazard Systems.
    • ICC/NAFED in Pre-Engineered Kitchen Fire Extinguishing Systems..
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with fire alarm systems combined with 3 years of facilities management.
  • In-depth knowledge of national and local fire codes and maintenance-related codes.
  • Strong understanding of worksite safety standards and occupational hazards.
  • Experience supporting a federal government agency or U.S. military installation.
  • Proficiency in work management systems (e.g. MAXIMO).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex technical and operational issues.
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
  • All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment screening including a comprehensive background check, motor vehicle record review, and a 5-panel drug test.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Physically and medically qualified to perform assigned duties, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Availability for alternate and extended shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as mission requirements dictate.
  • Must be able to report to work within the required timeframe when on call.
  • Must be capable of obtaining and using a government-issued Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to maintain access to a government worksite.
