Pay Rate: $20.99/hr

Health and Welfare: $8.00/hr up to 40 hours per week to be used towards benefit premiums

Shift Assignments are at the discretion of site management:

  • 1st shift will be paid the base hourly rate.
  • 2nd shift will be paid the base hourly rate of $20.99 per hour plus a 5% shift differential.
  • 3rd shift will be paid the base hourly rate of $20.99 per hour plus a 10% shift differential.

Scope of Work:

The General Laborer performs general work as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances.
  • Moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck.
  • Stacks materials for storage or binning.
  • Collects refuse and salvageable materials, and digs, fills, and tamps earth excavations.
  • The Laborer levels ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake.
  • Shovels concrete and snow.
  • Cleans culverts and ditches.
  • Cuts trees and brush.
  • Operates power lawnmowers.
  • Moves and arranges heavy pieces of office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances.
  • Moves heavy pieces of automotive, medical engineering, and other types of machinery and equipment.
  • Spreads sand and salt on icy roads and walkways.
  • Picks up leaves and trash.
  • Clean and recycling of firing range live fire shoot house, MOUT, explosive pads, and other assigned facilities to include removing all brass, vehicle debris, cleaning all surfaces of debris.
  • Cleaning to acceptable health and safety levels surfaces and areas for lead, gunpowder, and frangible ammo.
  • Responsible for cleaning of bullet traps.
  • Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
  • Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
  • Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
  • Painting structures and equipment.
  • Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain interim secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of custodial, recycling, and working with hazardous materials.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
  • Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.

All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include but is not limited to a criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and a 5-panel drug test, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
