Pay Rate: $31.05/hour (32.60/hour effective 3/8/26)
Health & Welfare: $5.48/hour up to 40 hours/week ($5.65/hour effective 3/8/26)
Shift Assignments are at the discretion of site management:
- 1st shift will be paid the base hourly rate.
- 2nd shift will be paid the base hourly rate plus 5%.
- 3rd shift will be paid the base hourly rate plus 7%.

Scope of Work:
The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades such as mechanical, HVAC, electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, laying out, and completion of installations, modifications and repairs.
- Minor building maintenance tasks which must be performed to proficiency.
- Makes minor adjustment and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sewage systems; architectural and structural building components; interior and exterior entrance doors; all door locks, windows, floors systems, roof systems, roof gutters, downspouts, window and floor coverings.
- Performs minor touch-up painting chores consistent with preventive maintenance functions and minor repairs.
- Performs minor preventive maintenance functions which include but are not limited to: Changing filters; cleaning cooling towers, heating and cooling coils; cleaning floor drains, grease traps, roof gutters, downspouts; and changing fluorescent tubes and other light bulbs where needed.
- Performs miscellaneous functions which include, but are not limited to: assemble and disassemble systems or furniture; remove and install signs and picture frames; assist in relocating furniture and computers, and performs other similar duties.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have practical working experience with a variety of different skilled craft trades and be able to understand written and oral instructions to perform the required work.
- Must have a basic knowledge of each tradecraft, which performs the individual functions for building operations, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. These include electricity, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, custodial operations and communication systems.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, standing, and reaching for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
