The pay listed above is encompassing of a total range, final compensation offered will be dependent upon several factors to include but not limited to years of experience and education within the position and industry.

Scope of Work:

The ETIS Team is seeking a Supervisor to manage a department in support of the ETIS contract, including approximately 35 union engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise on site staff and serve as the liaison between staff, prime contractor, customers, and corporate THTBC.
  • Responsible for reviewing technical plans and budgetary/schedule estimates and developing staffing plans and schedules to meet requirements within a given Work Directive with emphasis on safety of operations and budgetary constraints
  • Implement and maintain quality control in accordance with GSFC ISO 9001, maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards per ETIS III and GSFC policy.
  • Enforce safety and environmental regulations; ensure compliance with and actively support EEO/AA programs.
  • Meets with other area supervisors for load leveling within the confines of the CBA.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates the activities of personnel engaged in a specific function.
  • Manages and reviews work to ensure timeliness and accuracy of work product from responsible department/function.
  • Responsible for WD maintenance. Work within the confines of task order provided by senior management, supporting and monitoring labor, materials and ODCs, such as travel and training using web-based tools.
  • Approval of time records and requests for time off, PPE, training, etc.
  • Assist employees with problem resolution; counsel employees and commend, or reprimand as appropriate; conduct performance evaluation interviews; seek interpretation of company policies, as required.
  • Responsible to ensure that funding is available on WD prior to submittal for procurement.
  • Elevate funding issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Develop innovative approaches to non-routine, non-recurring work requests, based on acquired expertise and knowledge or organization philosophy and personnel capabilities.
  • Develops training plan and ensures personnel are current on required certifications to engage in a specific technical function.
  • Develop staff including mentoring and providing career coaching.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be required to meet objectives of the group, provide training; maintain appropriate records.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 Years’ experience with managing direct reports
  • Education: Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent, highly desired but not required. Holding a bachelor’s degree can offset the minimum number of required years for position by 4 years.
  • Experience managing and/or coordinating represented workforce (5 + years preferred but not required).
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Must be self-motivated and a “Team Player” with interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate within each functional department, with customers, and with senior management.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate assignments and work instructions to staff
  • Must be able to organize time and assignments to prioritize efforts for maximum effectiveness.
  • Must successfully complete assigned training or other required training or certifications as directed by ETIS III management.
  • May need to travel.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
