Scope of Work:

Responsible for all aspects of Work Control activities to ensure timely and cost-effective accomplishment of work assigned to employees. The general scope of this position includes work management to ensure efficient cost and effective utilization of employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee schedules for corrective and preventative maintenance activities, collaborating with supervisors and coordinating updates with the Production Control Clerk and other management teams to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor the progress of critical projects, compiling and analyzing production data from customer orders, work tickets, and task specifications, and maintain accurate records for reporting, including self-assessment documents for managerial review.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for in-house and subcontractor work to support special projects, ensure compliance with government funding requirements, and assist in drafting or coordinating project scopes of work with engineering teams for complex initiatives.
  • Conducted site visits with subcontractors to review project details, provided professional presentations for bidding purposes, and managed ongoing project activities to ensure safety compliance and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Ensures that estimates and subcontracts are completed on time and within budget.
  • Sets priorities of work for the sections, based on Government priorities, company policy and good construction judgment.
  • Participate in planning meetings that affect system operations, contributing to discussions on outage schedules and operational improvements.
  • Coordinates directly with customers to resolve difficulties, keep current on customer desires and problems and ensure that the service provided is of the highest quality.
  • Oversee all aspects of Work/Production Control activities to ensure timely and cost-effective accomplishment of work assigned to the department.
  • Assists in the establishment of best practices for the estimating department and reviews estimates for proper math, sequencing, appropriate maps, drawings, sketches, and other documentation.
  • Serve as a database steward, responsible for managing data quality and maintaining optimal oversight/data integrity.
  • Ensure program execution accordance with the government’s budget and timelines.
  • Provide program management with reports and project statuses.
  • Work with all division personnel to create process improvements.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Consistently produces quality products and service.
  • Completes all training within required timeline.
  • Performs all work in a safe and secure manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience providing familiarity in the activities of facilities management and work control management or related field.
  • Specialized experience for a major US military installation preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills to include the use of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) required. 
  • Must have working knowledge of work management systems/software/programs (e.g., MAXIMO).
  • The position also requires an interface on many technical/facilities maintenance issues with the customer. As such, knowledge of various preventive maintenance models is desirable.
  • Possess strong analytic skills to process large quantities of data quickly, accurately, and be able to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, anomalies, errors, etc.
  • Must be capable of obtaining, and shall be responsible to use, a government-issued common access card (CAC).
  • Strong skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
  • Effective verbal and written communication (English) and must be able to read and understand the signs, signals, and operating instructions.
  • Must be well organized with extremely good time management skills.
  • Must possess analytical abilities necessary to manage complex administrative, organizational, and contract matters.
  • Must be able to work independently and interact well with others in a team setting.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Display courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Demonstrate leadership by modeling desired behaviors appropriate to the work environment and adhering to the company values, vision and operating principles.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
  • Duties will require frequent periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, crouching, crawling, reaching, and balancing. Physically fit to bend, stoop, and lift in awkward positions and able to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer to include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
